A mysterious scene reminiscent of ancient Egypt: In the right foreground, a dark, flat-bottomed boat, similar to a solar barge, glides serenely across still water. It is surrounded by a dense tangle of slender, green papyrus or reed stalks that stretch across the entire image like a vertical curtain. Behind it lies an atmospheric, misty background in soft shades of violet, lavender, and pink. To the left, slightly offset from the center of the image, a large, round sun shines in warm orange-yellow through the thicket, bathing the scene in a mystical, almost dreamlike light.
